About 50 mins away from Heraklion airport, and 10 mins away from the main part of Agios Nicholas town centre. No complaints at all.   Food We went half board so had breakfast and dinner. My suggestion for next time would be to just go with breakfast, as there are amazing restaurants in the main town area. They found a wonderful room which did not require stairs and gave it to my mom 'free of additional charge'. This was our welcome, which was great to see. One BIG PROBLEM, towels on beds before being occupied this should not be allowed, yesterday I noticed some people turning up at 1pm to lay on their sun beds which means families with kids cant lay anywhere, every single bed by the pool had towels on them this morning with probably 6 people out of about 40 on them!!! This is a 5 star hotel but I dont think I want to come back and worry about getting a  bed , I dont want to pay 5 star prices to fight or get up early for a sun bed. The location is stunning, so beautiful. We had a junior suite which was very nice, it could have benefited from more drawer space but we coped. The hotel is spotlessly clean, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The food is good, we were staying half board, we ate out a couple of nights and at the hotels  la carte restaurant to mix it up a bit. Amazingly, there was no early morning rush to reserve sun beds and we always had a choice of where to sunbathe.  They havea lovely barman Michaelis, assisted by Eleni who nobly tried to teach us some Greek. The hotel  manager Georgis tours the guest dining areas 2-3 times  a day and stops to greet guests. We certainly hope to return next year if not sooner. This hotel was amazing, the staff could never do enough to help and help they did to get our wedding documents translated and ensure the wedding went without a hitch (the wedding was on-site next to the bay a gorgeous setting).  From the very first day we arrived we were welcomed, all the staff were great, the food was fantastic and a perfect hotel to chill whilst on holiday. Our wedding breakfast was so large we had to put some in the fridge. This hotel was far better than your average 5-star hotel.
